3 kids in 3 years!

Thanks to all of you that left me such sweet congratulatory comments. Y’all are the best!

I’ve been feeling really tired lately, like the “I think there is something wrong with me” tired. I mentioned it at a playdate with my friend Jodi and she said jokingly “Maybe your pregnant”. No, that couldn’t be, my period was…wait when was my period? Oh yeah it was supposed to be 2 weeks ago….nooooo…….. shut up….?????!!!!!!!!.

Dustin and I took the test two Saturdays ago. Well, I’m the one that peed on the stick, but we were both hovering over the results. (Come on, we’re not that clueless. We may not be able to make birth control work, but at least we know how to take a pregnancy test.) When the little cross on the pregnancy test appeared, I just laughed and laughed.

I went to the doctor yesterday and she pronounced that I’m 7 weeks pregnant! It looks like we are breaking tradition and not having a baby this April.

The newest baby Boston will be here sometime late September - early October. After the due dates for Maddie and Christian were so wrong, I don’t even want to know a due date, just give me a aprox time in the month. Why drive yourself crazy in the last weeks, right?

I am sooooo excited about this pregnancy. It’s crazy too, because just a month ago I was telling my sister how decisively done I am…for a while at least. Little did I know that somewhere around the time I was making those claims, some swimmers and eggs were happily uniting.

With Madeline, I didn’t know what to expect being pregnant, and was really nervous about birth. Then Christian came during Maddie’s colic and I was terrified that colic would never end and had no clue if having two kids that close together was going to be the death of me, like everyone insinuated. Now, that I’ve experienced the joy (and need for a schedule that would make the most anal person cringe) of kids so close together, I’m looking forward to this pregnancy. I’m well versed in all the do’s and don’ts of pregnancy. Heck, I’ve been pregnant since 2005! I feel really comfortable and have a pretty good idea what to expect. I also know from my experience with Maddie’s emergency birth, to not really expect anything at all.

I feel like for the first time I’m able to enjoy pregnancy without the underlying anxiety and fear that I’ve carried around in the past. However, I’m not looking forward to being 9 months pregnant in the 115 degree Arizona weather, but I think by that point I’ll be hibernating in my house anyways!

I’m so excited for you and your family! I’m really nervous about having two so you are definitely calming my nerves and even making me think that maybe I’ll go for #3, although I don’t know if I could do 3 in three years, you are awesome!!!!

Are you going to continue working for awhile? Make sure you take your vitamins, pregnancy as you know, can wreck havoc on your body! I’m excited for you guys though! The best I recall, being all big and pregnant during summer wasn’t that bad. I loved skirts though!

I’d LOVE to catch up with you Mary, so shoot me an email sometime (i realize “time” is not something that you have much of though)!
