Early gift from God

This is a quick post to announce the birth of

Madeline Kate Boston

Born 4/15/06 at 5:51 am

5lbs 9 oz

16 3/4 inches long

Maddie caught us completely by suprise on Friday night by breaking my water and then making her entrance by emergency c-section 7 hours later. She is doing wonderful but has needed some extra support in the neonatal intensive care unit at the hospital. There’s a little more detail about the whole thing on our homepage and pictures are posted in the photo section.

Once she is home, and things have settled down a little I will try and get to posting our birth story and thoughts on this adventure :)

    I just stopped by your blog by accident and wanted to say congratulations on the early arrival of your baby! The story of her arrival is very similar to my own story. I was born a little over 2 months early and on the same day as my baby shower. My mom says I just couldn’t miss a party : ) She still loves to hold it against me that she never had a baby shower haha. Congratulations again and I hope she joins you at home soon.

    She’s just beautiful. She weighed the same as my little one. I’m so glad to hear that things are looking up and she gets to come home soon. Thank goodness for modern medicine!!!!

    She is a beauty! And what a great weight for 6 weeks early. Both my cousin and had a friend had 5lbers at 34 weeks and both were home within 2 weeks. Congrats!
