Instead of a post filled with meaningless pictures of our new home, I’m going to give you several posts and a tour based off of something that went on in that room. Clear as mud?
Today’s tour: The Master Bath

Maddie has always loved sleep. Even when she had colic, it didn’t effect her sleep all that much. I too, heart her sleep time. I look forward to the nap time breaks from her exhaustively-wonderful- non stop activity.
This week had me holding my breath and praying she hasn’t outgrown her morning nap. Currently, she naps at 9:30 am and 2pm. Actually, BOTH kids are on that nap schedule! That’s when I sleep when they sleep blog.
This weeks been weird though. I’ve put her down for her morning nap every day this week, and every day she sings, calls to me and whines her way through it. Never sleeping. Did I mention how I NEED her to nap?!!

Today I woke up, prayed and braced myself…..”Hottie mommy, today we are not going to feel guilty for leaving her in her crib for an hour while she calls to you. Face it, your morning break time is done. Done! Let’s move on. Now go brush your teeth cuz you’re grossing me out.”

So after putting the swaddling-addicted boy to sleep, I turned to my babbling non-napping toddler and headed for the shower. The shower was great. Maddie’s such a first born. She loves organizing, cleaning and arranging things. In the shower she kept transferring my shower bottles from one side to the other. I was happy to have that time with her. I love the moments when I have one kid all to myself. I’m pretty sure she loves it too.

After the shower as I was dressing her and putting on her lotion. She melted down.
Thank you God in Heaven! She melted down! Tears, snot, kicking, screaming, waking her brother up, “No, Mommy, no!”, “Night night!”.
Hallelujah! (I’m not being irreverent. I really am that thankful)
I can’t tell you how relieved I am. Naps are my cigarettes… did I mention how we quit yesterday? Did I mention how I haven’t had a smoke since this day?

That used to be my loofah. Pets are so overrated.

Lila has never taken two naps in a day, so count your blessings!
BTW, I know I already said this, but I’m so glad you’re quitting smoking. My parents both smoked when I was a kid, and even when they didn’t do it around me I was still very well aware that they smoked, and I hated it. It embarrassed me.
@Chas: yeah, we’re not even missing it today.
@Mare: I loved all the pictures. It made the long post so much easier to get through.
My youngest, Kendall, 2 1/2, only has 1 nap and I SO can relate to Mommy’s “needing” that time~whether it’s for cleaning, napping, or blogging! LOVE your Master Bath~it’s beautiful!
