Not having a functioning digital camera seriously slows down the whole picture posting process! Why our camera is not working is just way to crazy and difficult to explain. It has something to do with one of these, a Sony camera, my husband, and the words “Look! I’m the camera eating amoeba!”.

Last week was the kid’s birthdays. Maddie turned 2 on Tuesday and Christian had his first birthday on Friday. It was hilarious watching a sugar crazed Maddie doing front rolls while midway through the roll getting bored and speeding off to run! All while screaming “Run! Run! Yeehaw!”
For Christian’s birthday we went out to Applebee’s. Child appropriate, I know….but daddy had a hard day and needed a Long Island, and mommy needed daddy to drink a Long Island chased by a Gin and Tonic! The staff was awesome at Applebees, the manager chatted with us for awhile and when it started getting dark and I realized I’d forgotten my flash for the camera at home, they turned up all the house lights just so I could get pictures of Christian and his cake! Which by the way, he wanted nothing to do with. I think that is so unfair since I hadn’t had sugar in 2+ years until Christian inutero decided it was pastries, cakes and Ho Ho’s or nothing! I’m still carrying around the donuts in my butt and now he doesn’t want cake? What the heck
I have the typical mushy-mom-birthday-memoir for each child coming up, but I wanted to get some pictures out while I have the time.
(Too bad they’re from EASTER and not the birthdays! That would be too absurdly relevant. All of you that have digital cameras should post pictures today and be thankful that you don’t have to wait to finish a roll, drop off the roll, pick up the roll and then scan the roll into your computer. Egad! But I am however, really liking taking pictures on a manual. I love the weight of it in my hands and I think it’s helping me to put more thought into my shots.)
